View Full Version : Lyman Resizers, Tools and Dies
Along with the Herter's-Dies already shown came these.
Are these Lyman tools worth using or should they be retired?
I have reloaded for many years but have never come across
anyone still using them.

I use mine all the time, but I reload for enjoyment, not speed.

I use tong tools to load for a number of my single-shot rifles. They produce fine ammo, they just aren't quick.

I've been gathering and accumulating (I hesitate to dignify what I do by calling it "collecting") old Lyman and Ideal stuff, especially all things 310. I must admit that I don't use my 310 tongs as much as I used to, but do use the dies in one of my TruLine Jr presses a bit more. If you are looking for high volume production or for heavy sizing and other functions of that sort, these are not the tools for you, but if you want to do a little casual reloading that just works the brass a minimal amount and makes good shootable ammo, the 310 tools soldier on as their ancestors did over 100 years ago.
