Just a quick observation on the power that prayer has. I've been told by many that in my time of difficulty that I'm on their prayer list. Yesterday and again this morning I have felt the presence of the Spirit and the level of stress has been reduced. I feel more acceptiing of the situation. Even my attorney's secretary told me yesterday that I seemed to be more at peace, didn't know it showed. That's the "peace that passes all understanding." I know it'll take a lot longer, but with my support system I'll make it through. GW

"Peace like a river" I have been blessed and blessed again.

The best part is it will tell you when you make mistakes.

I know prayer works, I have seen it work for me, others in my family, and many here.

You will be in mine.

I am convinced all true believers have the Holy Spirit, but not all believers open their heart to allow Him to guide them toward God's will in their lives. Once we surrender our will to him to guide us that peace in turmoil can come into our hearts. God promised His plans are for our good but till we allow Him to work we just stumble along doing things like we always have.

Yup, it is simply (or not so simply) the presence of God that provides the rest and relaxation. We so often work so hard to shut Him out - and don't even know it.

In my day job I frequently advise clients to pray every day, even if they don't know what they are doing. In working with recovering addicts, I see miracles happen all the time.

Wayne every person I work with that put the Lord in their heart and started a prayer life has progressed those who choose a rock in the field don't. Hard to work the steps and not realize you can not do it alone.
