I was watching “Wind River” the other day and I couldn’t believe that they actually showed someone reloading who wasn’t a crazed mass murder(you know us Reloader really just that):bigsmyl2: it looked very realistic. He was using a RCBS auto scale and a Lee press. Looked to be reloading the 444 Marlin. He had a nice all weather SS Marlin with a laminate stock. It was just a short scene but it was nice to see. The opening scene of Jack Reacher has reloading as well.

There was a thread here about Wind River the other day. Pretty good movie, though I wouldn't really call it a great movie. Awfully dark.

Corny I know...but I believe there was either reloading or a good shot of a reloading bench setup in the older movie "Tremors".

In Eastwood's second 'Dirty Harry' flick (Magnum Force), there's a scene in Callahan's apartment where a table with an RCBS single-stage press and powder measure are in the background. Also in the original 'Red Dawn', there's a scene where Ben Johnson gives Patrick Swayze a box of reloads for his father's sixgun and Burt Lancaster is shown assembling loads for his Sharps in 'Valdez is Coming.'

redhawk Yes I remember it too. He and his wife were in "the bunker" and he fired up an Orange vibrating brass tumbler on that reloading bench that called the worms to his abode like a dinner bell.

Some of that was talk about I seen them and had some parts of reloading. There was another one I think about wearwolf that had about it also with silver bullets that was to be cast from.

Yup, that was the movie Silver Bullet, from the Steven King novel.

I liked in the Death Wish (2?) movie, Bronson is seating the bullets in the cases for the 475 Wildey and he's darned near laying on the press handle to seat them. Maybe he had the die bottoming out on the shellholder?? Funny stuff.

I believe it was an episode of “Colombo” in the early 70’s that Bobby Darin was seen reloading a few cartridges on a single stage. Likely, very shortly before his death.

And "Quigley Down Under" getting his handloads in town for his rifle (don't remember exactly maybe 38x55?) Who knows about that?

Mel Gibson cast bullets in The Patriot. Loved how he just dropped it from the mold into the palm of his hand. Either that was really faked or he's the toughest SOB alive.

Many episodes of all the Alaska reality shows have people reloading. In the Edge of Alaska Jeremy is also casting lead bullets for his single action handgun.

Check out the TV series Shooter on USA network, some good reloading scenes in the beginning and towards the end of the first season.

Definitely hooks the bad guy up...

LOL Just places a few lead/tin/ pewter or whatever those little toy soldiers were made of in a big spoon and held it in the fire and poured right into his bag mould . Guess he wasn't too concerned with wrinkles from a cold mould !!

Lives of a Bengal Lancer with Gary Cooper has scenes of Tribesmen casting boolits in gang molds and scooping black powder into Martini cases. Also Burt Lancaster melts lead soldiers to cast into boolits while the family is under siege by the Comanche in "The Unforgiven".

Not reloading exactly but wildcatting: in Beverly Hills Cop II they track down a bad guy by finding a 44 Auto Mag case at a crime scene. I think they said something like "only a couple guys in the country can make these" or some similar exaggeration.

I'd forgotten about the lead soldiers in The Unforgiven. By the way, that's an OK movie in its own right, but it pales in comparison to the book which was written by Alan Lemay, same author as The Searchers which is a great movie and book. The Unforgiven is a great read and every bot as good as The Searchers, perhaps better.
