Found these in a bucket of range brass from local Sheriff's range. They appear to be 9mm. They have a telescoping section. The inside has a ledge with a recess in the center of it, about a third of the way down. Thanks, Shortlegs

This is an empty cartridge from Simunition practice ammo that fired from a regular firearm, auto or revolver.....the projectal is a small plastic head with a marking paint in it. It is used for force on force training. I have used it in revolvers years ago and later was developed for autoloaders....neat stuff but expensive per shot..afish4570

I left LEO and security detail before we could play with simunition. I heard it was a fun but pain full learning experience.

Thanks afish4570! I have heard of simunition but never seen it. Appears Sheriff's Dept. did some training with it.

Simunition marking pellets sting the recipient smartly. They are like paintballs on steroids.
