:-D Well, I loaded up some of my recently-arrived Montana Bulletworks projectiles for my 257 Roberts.

50 yards looked good, and I found one H 4895 load...1 3/8" @ 100 yds. I will vary the seating depths with this one, to see if there is any remarkable difference, and more practice will likely shrink the groups about 1/4". If not, I can live with that one for a walk-around load. Boy, it looks like the free travel is critical... .005 into the rifling, and I couldn't cover the group (pattern?) with my hand!

As in other areas of life, when she speaketh, it is well to listen!

Unique gave 1 3/16"-1 3/8" @ 50 yd. ...very consistent, no matter the seating depth, but a tad large. I'm increasing the loads in 1/2 gr. increments, to see what will happen. The suspense is KILLING me!

It IS a Fine and Pleasant Madness!
