Yah it's smarter than me.
How to transfer cell phone pictures directly to CastBoolits without going through my PC. I do CastBoolits allmost exclusively on my cell phone.

I know that the size needs to be reduced. Found out that when I sent them to my PC and then tried to upload to CB.

Some one on here sent me instructions how to do it some time ago and it worked but I didn't write it down, darn!

Download the Tapatalk app.
Search for castboolits and login.
When you start or reply to a topic the text box has a landscape photo icon.
Click that and it takes you into your phones photo gallery.
Click on the photo and it will be inserted into your post.
Very easy, in fact much easier than using a pc.

I didn't see this until today. Thanks a lot. I have seen tapatalk for quite a while but thought I don't need that. I am computer challenged but old dogs can learn new tricks. Thanks again.

Two quick and dirty resize tricks. On phone (android give, apple does it to just don't know how) go to share photo and text it to yourself. You may actually see notice that picture is getting resized. Then open the text message and save the picture from the text message. Those pictures by default end up in your download and the text application handles the resizing.

On a PC (or Mac again has it just unknown how) Windows Photo viewer has option along the top to email the photo. Use that and it lets you pick a size, email to yourself. Save from the attached image file from the email. File will be reduced nicely for upload to forum or emailing family for that matter.

I have software to resize and edit photos but sometimes quick and easy and widely available is a win. Especially if I can manage to show my wife how. She doesn't mind the extra steps as long as they are fairly sequential and direct.
