This is another we relieved. First I've seen of this mfg. doesn't look like there is alot of info on the web. This one is a wall hanger, but if really wanted I imagine could be a fixer.215132215133215134

These were made with different names .I have a monarch and I know of Ardessa. I do shoot mine and am happy with it.A slow twist rate in mine of 1in60 .It shoots a .433 ball with a thick patch or a.440 with a thin patch. The angled nipple looks funky but this makes for a good flame path. Giving reliable service . Most are made in 45cal. A 50 cal is way less common.

I've a Monarch carbine in .50 caliber with a 3 digit serial number, think it was made in the 60's. Picked it up in a pawn shop and it had a serious case of Bubba done to it. Cleaned it up the best I could, it's a wall hanger but I'll take it down to shoot it. It only has a 19 inch barrel so it is different to look at. Give the Markwell a cleaning, it might be a hoot to shoot. It's got a good looking patch box.

They were an inexpensive gun back in the late 70's and 80's. I have a J Wilkes Booth style derringer, one of the more correct re-pros other tan a 400.00 Pedersoli!.
Have fun
