A question for those who have experience with having custom boolit molds made.

I am wanting to have a mold made to replicate the original boolit used in the 10.4X47R Italian cartridge. The only problem is that the original is a jacketed boolit. Is it possible to take an example of a jacketed boolit and add grease grooves so your cast boolit will look and function the same as the original?

Spitfire,
welcome to the forum.

I am not knowledgeable on the 10.4x47R, but I found this bit of info, it looks like you might need a Heeled design.

Thank you for the info! From what I’ve read, some M1870/87’s use a heeled profile and some do not. Looks like there is going to be some Cerrosafe in my future :-)

If you don't have any Cerrosafe on hand, there is another option.
