Anyone out there have one of these? I want to get a 8 shot 357, and I know the Smith's cylinder is too short to fully utilize the 358429 without cutting the brass down. Besides I can pick up a 608 cheaper. If any one has one that could tell me the cylinder length, I'd be appreciative.
Thanks

HL, I have the Taurus 7-shot, and the 173 gr GB fits it in 357 brass(barely). I am sure the 608 cylinder is at least as long as this, the 358429 should work.

How does that 7 shot Taurus shoot, and is that built on the smaller frame? Maybe I'd like that one better, don't really need a 50 ounce 357.

I really like the 7-shot. I compared it side-by-side with the 608, and I personally preferred the seven-holer. They both feel pretty good to me, though. Mine has a 6 or 6 1/2 inch barrel, I forget which. I mostly shoot lighter loads in it; I don't have much use for higher power stuff. Mine seems to be very accurate with these mild-to-mid-range loads. BTW, mine is stainless, virtually everything I get these days is. I have a couple of Taurus revolvers, and I like them both. Also, you are right, the 7-holer is built on a frame similar to the S&W L frame, whereas the 608 is almost like an N frame.
