That might be a question Pressman can answer for you. Send him a PM and see if he knows.

Hope this helps.

I have an original meepos sales pamphlet dated Nov. 23, 1946 so they were around then.

Excellent tidbit ... thank you
must be fun to glance at once in a while.

The star came from San Diego and the Meepos from the LA area I believe .

The "STAR" was discussed widely In Phil Sharps Book Complete Guide To Handloading in 1937 edition . and was developed in 1934

Was he referring to the Star Loader, or the Star Sizer in his book? I'm not sure which came first, or if they were both invented at about the same time.

My bad gentlemen ....
I was a bit curious as to the dates of the machines as I have just acquired a early model (San Diego) star ...
Already have a Meepos and with that , the Dutchman here in Cast Boolits helped me out tremendously with that particular machine.
He furnished an article stating that the Meepos originated in 1940 along with other fascinating tidbits besides making a handle for me that was missing on the machine , so grateful .

The Star coming along possibly in 1934 (with your help salpal48) makes it very interesting as they both work basically the same but the star was just a bit more sophisticated in it's function .
love the history with these machines .

I've got a couple of the meepos sizers, and I honestly like the design almost as much as I like the star, though it is a little cruder in construction.
