A rep from Chiappa messaged an answer to my question on their Facebook page, ALL of their 44 caliber leverguns feature a 1:20" twist rate, ALL of the 45 caliber models feature a 1:16" twist rate.
This would be the barrel of choice for guys who want to shoot heavy boolits at subsonic velocities, there would be enough spin to stabilize these big boolits. Rifles with 1:38" twist are quite common and don't generally do well with heavy for caliber boolits at lower velocities.
