I went to see Joe today. It was good to see him, but tough to see him that condition he doesn’t have any movement in his right arm, but his legs and left arm seem to work fine. He has a lot of trouble with his speech. For those who don’t know, he suffered a stroke recently. He’s able to understand things just fine, but trying to get his mouth to form the words that he wants to say is very difficult. He’s frustrated and feeling discouraged.
I told him that a few folks from Cast Boolits are praying for him, and he understands that and really appreciates it. I was able to sit with him for a while and pray with him.
While driving down to SA, I thought about the gravity of such simple things as visiting a person in the hospital. According to Jesus, such simple things carry much weight. I invite ya’ll to ponder the below scriptures, and I thank you for praying for Joe.
Matthew 25:35-36,40
[35] For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. [36] I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.' [40] "And the King will say, 'I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'
