There weren't many deals at the gun show in NH yesterday, especially when it came to cap and ball guns (antiques or repros). What they're asking for originals, in bad shape, is amazing. I did find this Paterson replica at a very low price (made in Italy in 1970). I sold one a few years ago and wish I had kept it. There aren't many for sale anymore.
Patersons without the loading levers are like dark beer - you have to develop a taste for them. With that long barrel, they're great shooters. I have a loading tool on the way from Taylors. Mechanically, it's in great shape. The finish isn't perfect, so I might strip it and "antique" it.
