I've been looking at the Ruger American Ranch rifle in .450 bushmaster but I'm holding off because of the .452 bullet diameter rather than .458 diameter. I know its kinda silly about .006" of an inch but has anyone sized down a lyman 457122 /.458"330gr hp
down to .452 for use in the bushmaster? Or any of the other .458 diameter bullets? I kinda wish Ruger made it in .458 socom.

The 458 boolits can be sized down. I have lubed and sized to 457, then down to 452. You might have to go to an intermediate 454 or 455, then 452. Also, a final size of 453 or 454 might work for you if the chamber is a little loose.

If you go from as cast 457/458 down to 452, it will be a tough size and you will wipe a bunch of the lube grooves.

I've got one of these for my NMBH in 45 Colt:

It should do great in the 450 BM

That might be a really fun rifle to cast for if you can get the accuracy down.
