It appears to be some sort of bpcr but I can’t tell what it is

I can't tell completely, but it appears to be a Smith carbine.

Its a Smith carbine .50 cal breech loader from the sling swivels I would say its the artillery model.

The break-open Smith utilizes special rubber or brass cartridge casings, and doesn't qualify for most state's muzzleloader/black powder seasons.

A friend has an original with a pristine bore. He handloads for it and I would not want to be within 100 yds if he is slinging lead my way. Wonderful workmanship.
