ok, i have my first decent batch of boolits waiting to be lubed..

it's a 330gr hollowpoint .459 in diameter made outta straight wheel weights...

anyone load these with Re7?

What cartridge you planning to load those in?

Is that the Lyman/Gould?

it is the lyman/gould.. 457122 i think?

loading it for the 45-70, thinking of starting at 41gr of re7, would really like to talk to someone who has loaded these with re7 for 1500fps

I load my 45-70 using 41.5 grs. Re7 under the RCBS 405 cast from PURE Pb for hunting purposes....man, what a deer slayer!

I like Re7 better than anything else in this caliber.

hmmm... was thinking of starting there at 41gr of re-7 with the 330gr.. maybe i will start a bit higher
