the lyman cast bullet handook calls for 150 gr (10 to 1 alloy) for a 30-30, i cant find any info on what this is and i dont know if it is the same as 1 to 10, i usally buy my #2 alloy from roto metals and i cant find 10-1 on google

It is 10 parts lead to one part tin. Rarely used these days because tin is very expensive. If you want to experiment with this alloy, have at it, but antimonial lead alloys are more common.

Wheelweights +2% tin will be about 13 BHN and will perform well in full-charge hunting loads with gaschecked bullets in the .30-30. Ideal #311291, #31141 or similar will do the job with 30 grains of 4895, 4064, RL15 or Varget.

Just use your #2 alloy, I use a gas check and Javelina Alox lube
