Today's sermon

Today preacher made a profound statement "More often then not we end up in situations we don't want to be in becuse we got what we wanted."

It was a New Years sermon for sure. talking about regrets,and moving forward. He preached on how most of the arguments we get in is becuse we aren't geting our way.

In this sermon I saw myself, my wife, and the reason I posted I saw boaz story.

When we search out our own wants we very often have to live with them

That's profound and true Ronnie . We have all been given what we 'wanted' time to time . We should be thankful that our Lord withholds our 'wants' many times . They provide a hard lesson if given . Thank you for a good reminder !

Yes, I learned years ago that God has in fact given me what I thought I wanted only to realize they were ashes - it is the pursuit that facinates me. It is the pursuit of God that is truly infinite and thus satisfying.

Often the quest is the desired....but when you achieve it you lose interest of get depressed because it was not what they expected. Thanks for the post Ronnie!
