Did you mean steel pins in rcbs mould? If so what do you need to know about them?

They are to hold the mold on the handles. RCBS uses short set screws and steel pins for handle attachment now.

RCBS has been using pins and short screws for quite a few years since they found out that full length screw pins were more expensive than a pin and a short screw.Robert

My RCBS moulds all have the pins; my older Lachmiller moulds have the longer screws. I figure that if and when I buggered up a screw in the older units I'd replace the screws with pins and retainer screws. I swapped a set of pins out of a RCBS mould and tried them in the Lachmiller; they worked just fine.
