Have any of you shot animals with these CCI LR shells. The ad's say they break into 3 pieces on impact. My Ruger Mk 111 shoots them well enough to hunt bunnies and feral cats. What have you found out with them?

I've used the Winchester version they are very nasty ..... make a hollow point look humane. Not for eating meat !

I have killed a great many jack rabbits with CCI Segemented Subsonic Hollow Points and I have never had one fail to work as advertised and never had one run off wounded.

All these were taken no closer than 75 yards and no further than 100.

These Segmented Hollow Points are (in my mind) the most effective 22 rimfire ammo out there for small game and if your using a suppressor the Segemented Subsonics are whispering death on jackrabbit sized animals inside 100 yards.

Comparatively speaking, the jackrabbits reacted as if hit with a 22 magnum, all were dead where they fell or by the time I walked up to them.

I recommend them with great enthusiasm.
