I've never owned a 9mm handgun before. To be honest, I've never had kind words for them , but now see that they are a viable option for CCW.

I saw a SA EMP in 9X19 @ a LGS & am impressed with the fit & finish + it feels good in my hand. I was pricey , but am slowly justifying the $.

Any input would be appreciated.

The EMP- Enhanced Micro Pistol is a down sized 1911 For the most part. They are pricey and there are plenty of pocket 9s well under that price point. Just have to decide what you want.

I've never shot one personally so can't comment on that.

I do have an XD-S in 45 and 9mm and enjoy them both

Well, I wanted a model 3, and then a 4, but won't be buying a Springfield anything. Too much antigun for a gun company. Sorry, personal opinion.
I have a ppq as carry I like 17 rounds more than what 8?and was at least a couple of hundred less. And more reliable. Yes bigger by a bit. Got another Walther, a ccp for less than $300 that again is more reliable and carries as much ammo with less weight.

I purchased the XD-E in 9mm. It holds enough rounds and shoots very well. Also is quite concealable.
So far, I have 500 rounds through mine with no malfunctions.

I have the XD MOD.2 – 3″ Sub-compact in 9 mm and like it but not for carry. They are pricey and much larger heavier than some of the other manufacturer offerings. I bought it because of the accessory light rail. Not many sub-compacts offer them.

At the time, the LGS had a few different SA models. I went with their "Grip Zone" because it felt better in my hand. The EMP model was in stock but I don't care for a single action, for carry, and definitely do not want a exposed hammer.

I quit supporting them when they quit supporting the 2A earlier this year in their home state in order to have a business edge there. Heres to hoping they fold just like Remington
