I saw these at Home Depot and bought a couple on a whim. Then I realized it might make a viable indoor SD weapon light. The little thing lights up the room enough to identify the target and illuminates the bead on my 870 barrel at the same time. The weapon light on my AR will peel the paint indoors by comparison. I don't know how long it will last but I test it weekly and it's still bright a year later.

Now that is right interesting! Thanks for the idea, think it would mount on the forend where my thumb lands.

Interesting for sure. I’d likely place it on the forearm as well for easier finger access and lessen the barrel shadow maybe?

You can try it in different places but once you stick it, it's there. I was concerned replacing it would remove finish on the wood. They may or may not stick to syn stocks. About $4 I think it was.

Well it would sure beat nothing as a light - but I would like a little more to bet my life on

To think we got by for years with no lights on guns!
But I'm glad we have them now.
