#12-28 filister head machine screw

I am having a hard time finding the title item with a length of 1 1/2" minimum.

I can find shorter lengths but to not the longer lengths unless I buy a 100. I only need 2 at the moment. Can anyone give me a lead. I would even settle for socket head cap screw.

I have a die on order so I'll be able to make them if all else fails but since it is coming from bfe I really have no idea when I will receive it.

I realize that outfit is in the UK, however, $20.00 flat rate shipping for a couple of screws is more than I am willing to pay.

I can not remember what they were actually for, but I needed to get I think 4- 12 -28 longer screws.
I bought the die, and then 4 longer 1/4 -28 cap screws amd turned down the shanks to the diameter i needed, then rethreaded them to the 12-28 thread, then turned the head down to what i needed.
This was all done on a poor mans Lathe with a file.

A #12 screw is .216 basic diameter, can you rethread to .250-28 thread and use a 1/4-28 screw?

Fastenal shows a discontinued stainless 12-28X1-1/2 " screw here: https://www.fastenal.com/products/details/0177138

Maybe they still have some in stock, or have others. I think that 28 pitch NF screw is going to be difficult to source.

Screws can be treated in Brownells Surface Hardening Compound (#083-000-033).
Have some screw blanks at school I think but won't be there for a couple weeks.

I believe those are 24 TPI thread pitch, NOT 28.

I PM replied-twice but nothing in my sent basket. I'll have to check PM count.
Anyhooo, 4 #12 slotted blanks on their way.
ETA Tuesday, thank goodness you're not in Texas.
Had multiple mailings go AWOL in that direction. Who knows why.
Guess USPS trucks have wrecks also though.
