S&W M29
Are the click values on all S&W revolvers the same?
How far will each click move the bullet at 25 yards?

On a 6" barrel gun the clicks are supposed to be one inch at 50 yards. On a 4" gun they would be a bit larger.

That helps. It's a 5"

An inch is probably close enough for country music. Might want to shoot a group to establish POI, then make a ten click change and shoot another and let us all know. If memory serves the windage adjustment is a bit finer than the elevation.

Thank you for the info.
I am reworking the sights on a S&W and this will give me a starting point to get her zeroed in.
But mine is a 2 3/4" barrel so I know right off the bat by your info that The elevation clicks are going to be greater than 1" at 50 yards.
I intend to have the sight Zeroed at 25 yards, with the rear sight set all the way down.
I have three rear sight blade heights to change out and make this happen.
So far I found out that with the .196 rear blade installed, The gun shoots to high at 25 yards.
Next try is with the .160, and then back to the factory .146

Good morning
If my thinker is functioning... with our 41 mag model 57 6 inch it also depended on the cast weight / powder charge. One click or 5 clicks with a 175 grain plinker load was different than a 280 grainer stocked full of 296.
