Switch from small rifle primer to magnum small rifle primer?

I have two full bricks of Fed. mag sm rifle primers that I would like to use up. My regular load is 19.5gr of 4227 with the cci sm rifle primer. Would you think reducing the powder charge one grain would compensate the primer change to magnum, obtaining the same vel and psi? /Chris

Hi Chris, what cartridge/caliber are you loading this in? My "guess" is that 1 grain less is probably OK...but that's only a guess without knowing what you're loading it in.

Loading .351WSL with 174gr cast. I have no idea what I was using those mag primers for but I got em.
