average " lead angle" of lands?

I am asking specifically for the cz550 fs in 9.3X62, but on average, what angle does the rifling start at where it begins at the throat? I know its kindof a vague question, but hopefully someone can help, thanks-Travis

If you have the gun,the most accurate way is to chamber cast and put the cast into an optical comparator.This will allow you to measure any feature of the cast with great accuracy.Otherwise ,you can either check the online standard chamber dimensions,or you can contact the manufacturer and ask .

A typical chamber reamer has an angle of 1.5 degree. This will cut a lead with a length about 0.15"

I use both 1 and 1.5 degree on my reamers. This gives an included angle of 2 or 3 degrees.

I cut my .30 cast bullet chambers with standard reamers, then go back in and re-cut the leade with a custom throating reamer of 1 1/2 degrees included angle. Makes for a nice gentle entry of the bullet into the rifling, and allows for extended seating depths. Another use for a reamer such as that is to use it to make a custom nose swaging die to give a nose riding design bullet the same taper as the leade for a perfect fit. The improvement in performance can be astounding.

that's a pretty good idea! I was thinking of trying to match my meplat as close to that angle as possible
