Went to my local gun store to get some 45 colt dies
Then i needed some lead bullets. will cast my own at some point
They did not have any lead bullets for any caliber
Then the guy behind the counter said. We have this old glass jar thats been sitting here for years full of bullets. no markings or any thing

He said make a offer and he would see if the owner would sell them
I told him 3 dollars after we counted them 275. O and they are not lubed

He excepted the offer

After getting them home and checking them out.I would say they are 44 cal swc
my measurements are dia 430- 431 and the gr are 220.4-220.5

So should they be ok to reload for my 44 mag and any recommendations for what gr powder in the trail boss flavor

Oh ya, run em through a size-N-lube or smere em with liquid Alox or paste wax and
load em up! Sorry no load info (never used trail boss) but I would look up loads
for 220-225gr or next heavyest and load light to moderate then let er fly.

You made a heck of a deal!

Even if you melted them down, the lead alone is worth more than $3.

They look like good boolits, shoot em up.

that is the lyman 429215 and its a great bullet. I doubt if your going to get much accuracy out of them by just tumble lubing and shooting them though. thats a gas checked bullet and a very light one for the 44 at that. I would say its going to need its check to shoot well.
