Need some help here, friend has a Marlin 375 Win and I'd like to get him a mold block for it as a Christmas gift. Was looking at an Noe plain base that weighs in at 235-240 hrs. Seems to be the only one that has a crimp groove. Any suggestions would be helpful

I've been very happy with the Lee 380-255 plain base mould. Loaded over 10 grains of Unique it runs at 1297 fps average speed from my Marlin 375, groups 1.5-2" at 50 yds. That mould shucks out boolits like crazy!!

Lyman 375449 is a very common mold for this.

Accurate 38-250D is what I use in my 38-55's. Tom makes a great mold.

Lymann also has the 335 grn postell style mould . My high wall likes it along with a 355 grn old west nasa mould but its 1-12 twist.

................I will echo Centershot and Habcan. For simple shooting and simple casting I'm a fan of the Lee design. It's simple in design, carries plenty of lube and it has a nice sized FN. I'll second Centershot's load of 10.0 grs of Unique and also add 8.0 grs of Red Dot as another good cheap one. Heck, those loads are cheaper then shooting 22RF at today's prices, and no GC is required:-)

I like the Lyman 375449 it drops at .380 plenty of sizing to work with even with an old 38-40 it works well sized .377 for my .375 H&H Mag.

The Lee 250gr (about 260gr for me) works really well. I use it in a Marlin CB and a Wesson & Harrington Target Classic with very good accuracy. I wish Lee made a 6 cavity. I use 10gr Unique for a hunting load out to 100 yards.

Settled on the Accurate 250 D mold.
