Questionable ruger only 45 colt loads

Hello i resently just recieved a few handloads that i have had givin to me as part of a trade for some work. The guy gave me the specs. He loaded them with a hornady xtp 200 gr jacked hp with 14.5 gr of universal behind it. Primer is a standard pistol primer. Cci #300 i believe. Needless to say i have searched all over the place to make sure that these werent over loaded for my ruger blackhawk(7.5) barrel. If any one has quickload,Could you do me a favor and check to see wat the estimated pressure would be. Thanks . They seem to me way over loaded but im not totally sure.

Just comparing, it is the next powder slower than Unique and faster than Pwr Pistol. Contender 45 Colt data I have lists a 200 Hornady with 12.2 gr and a 44 Mag with 13.0 of Unique. By my calculate guess, I would say redline or over without any quickload data so you are prudent to wait for someone to work the numbers for you. Not a common powder in use for 45 colt.

QL would need your COA measurement, and then the measurement of the bullet itself so it could compute how low the bottom of the bullet would be seated in the case.

That bullet may already be in the QL .bul file but without your COA we'd be guessing.

Man, I can't get myself to shoot anyone's reloads. I'd pull em all and start over. Why take a chance on lighting off an explosion 24" from your face with unknown quality control?

I would not use it. I just ran it through QL with that bullet and powder charge with all measurements as per SAAMI. It showed 39,924 psi

It showed maximum charge of Universal within SAAMI standards would be about 8.2 grains at 13,828 psi.

just reading the OP my first reaction was what? how much?
yeah no I wouldn't be shooting them.
if I need that much oomph I got 5 other powders I know I don't have to question.
