Been checking the junk yards for a while.
Check craig's list everyday.
Can't seem to find one.

Looking for an instrument cluster, standard trans, with a tach.
1999 Nissan Frontier EX.

I'm sure there are more junk yards, and old trucks down there.
If anyone has connections with anyone in a recyclers, would be grateful if you could check what they have.

Did you try one of the online parts search places? http://car-part.com/

I have been out of the loop for a while, but it used to be that most major and even a lot of not so major ones belonged to a national parts locator data base. I would think even those in Hawaii would be connected to it.

I did check some on-line places. Always get "call for price".
Junk yards here are flaky.
Don't want to go through any work to help find anything.
Most of them are druggies.
The one in the truck has no tach.
I'm so used to driving with a tach, I'm like to have one.
Thought about adding a racing tach, but I'd rather have it in dash.

Have you thought about having yours repaired? There are businesses that specialize in repairing instrument panels for vintage and current cars.

Buy an in dash racing tach and find a mounting spot for it...

As mentioned, Car-Part.com is an amazing resource. You have to wade through a lot of listings and options, but should find more than one place that has what you are looking for, it is just a pain to look through the different listings. On the bright side, all the yards have a contact number and usually a stock number to inquire further.
