Thinking about a 1907 Win rifle in poor shape just for a shooter. It needs repairs to be operational. I dont know the condition of the bore yet. I already reload for the .351WSL cartridge so ammo is no problem.
The seller says: wood in good shape, missing parts: bolt spring, both front & rear sights plus no clip. Barrel has light rust on outside. Blue has turned brown. Top edge of ejection port is slightly bent. $35 shipping. $10 transfer chg. to my FFL guy. Whats it worth?
Thanks
Chris

With that info it is a parts gun. $50 would be my offer to the seller.

that's about all I would be willing to go too.
bent port?
the frame is solid steel that would take some doing.

I should have said a slight ding in the top edge of the port. It dosent affect operation. I just barely noticed it in his pic. I would be looking at $40 for the clip, 12. for the spring, $4 for the buffer, $52 for the sights for a $108 total. /Chris

Where did you find a magazine for $40? That's a good deal. Check the receiver for cracks. I just paid $200 for an older .351 that didn't look great but it cleaned up well, and it's a great shooter. I replaced the buffer and recoil spring. It's rear sight had been removed and a Pacific sight was installed on the side of the receiver. Two holes had been drilled in the top of the receiver for a scope. There's five notches cut in the forend wood - deer (or prisoners). The seller hasn't named a price yet?
Can you post the pic without giving away the seller's info?

lol... I was going to post on this thread but thought of the old saying... "If you dont have anything good to say..." I was thinking of you Battis... I figured as long as the barrel was in decent shape any 351 is worth at least $100 all day long... maybe at least in the northeast... they are extremely fun to shoot to boot! If said rifle was at KTP/Cabelas it would be $150 all day long.

I am still waiting to hear back from the seller, the condition of the bore. /Chris

Just for the record, I ended up winning the auction on this gun for $184. Anxious to get my hands on it. The seller never did respond to my questions. The only thing he did was email me, letting me know he had my FFL. I already ordered the recoil spring, buffer, sights and clip, have them in hand. /Chris

They are fun rifles. Get yourself a brass catcher, you'll be glad you did.

I have never come across a mod 1910 yet. Maybe someday I will. I have a AR brass catcher on my first 07 along with a scope. It takes a Weaver front base #17 and a rear base #20A.
I ordered and have all the parts in hand, cost was $73. total shipped. /Chris
