In the June issue of Handloader, Mike Venturino wrote a very interesting article on the versatility of different cast bullet designs. Which bullet/design would you consider the most versatile in a .355 diameter???

125 gr rnfp.
for 357 and 9mm. the 358 diam often will work well in the 9mm.

I think it was Molly who said it best when he related that he loads the fattest boolit that will chamber. Obviously you don't want them so big that they bulge the case, but this will go a long way toward eliminating leading.

Its hard to go wrong in 9mm (.355") with the Lyman 356402. I wouldn't size it that small, though.

Maybe you could make a chamber cast of the guns in question and go from there. It might save you a lot of time and frustration, knowing what the throats require in advance.

I'll second the 356402. It normally feeds well in the 9mm or .38 Super and is accurate for plinking. Size to your needs. I have sized them down to .355" but normally run them a little bigger for my High Power./beagle

I think one of the most versitile bullets in that size range is the Lee 105g SWC. Nice little plinker and accurate too. Shoots very well in the 9mm, 357 and 38 and I'll pretty much bet it shoots well in anything in that caliber range.

Another vote for Lyman #356402, its clones, and the somewhat similar Lee 9mm-125-TC. These have functioned and shot very well for me for a lot of years in 9mm handguns.

The Lee TC autopistol boolits in 9mm, 40/10mm, and 45 ACP are a VERY SOUND DESIGN.
