I have 400 True fight bullets I bought in England.
They are 22 cal 35gr RN PB and 55gr RNFT GC.
I would like to shoot them at subsonic speeds.
Could someone please point me in the right direction concerning load data.
I have a 218 mashburnbee and the only powders I have are Lil-gun and left over shot gun powder ADI-AS-30N.

Any help much appreciated.

hodgdon says 12-14 grains of Lil Gun is right for the 35 grain jacketed bullet in a stock 218 bee, but nothing for the 55 boolit. I'd try 9 grains with the 55 GC boolit and inch my way up if groups seemed to warrant it. But i'd be a lot more comfortable with H4227 or 2400. Data exists for those powders. I think that the 35 might work with the shot gun powder, but what charge? I've no idea.

Might need to start at a higher velocity and reduce the powder charge in steps to prevent sticking a boolit in the barrel, but I am not familiar with either powder so I’m not going to recommend a charge weight.

Thanks rintinglen and wmitty.

wmitty comment "..start at a higher velocity and reduce the powder charge in steps...". This sounds good for the Lil-gun but I'll hold on in case someone can throw some light on the ADI-AS-30N powder.
It would be great if I could use this as I have no need for it now and have sold my shotgun reloading press.

adi 30n is a bit slower than bulleye and about red dot speed.

2 gns bulleye 45 gn 1200 fps. is one load I have read

looking at the ADI Web site shows AS-30n to be a very quick burning powder. I would not use it with the heavy boolit, but I would start at 2 grains with the 35 grain boolit and maybe go up 2 tenths of a grain at a time to a max of 3.0 grains to see if groups got better.

I use 2.5 grs. Of Bullseye in my standard 218 Bee.Boolit is the NOE version of Lymans 225107 35 gr. I get right at 1300 fps from my 24 inch barrel rifle.
