Need Mold Recomendations 375 H&H

Brother-in-law ( a good one) has a TC 375 H&H and would like to shoot cast bullets both for punching paper and deer hunting. Looking for mold recommendations. Will load on the lighter end due to full house recoil. Figured this would be the place to ask!

Lyman build the 375449 for the H&H. It works well in my .38-55s.

+1 on #375449, 272-grain Loverin style flat nose with GC base. Approximates .38-55 blackpowder ballistics in the .375 H&H with 13 grains of Bullseye, NO GC needed! below 1400 fps.

Good Eastern woods deer load. Just run straight WW, tumble in Lee Liquid Alox, size .379 for most rifles. Try unsized if they chamber in yours... Dependable 2 moa...

They drop at @ 280gr and I’m getting good accuracy with nearly the same load I use for 300gr jacketed. No game taken but a lot of fun has been generated at way less than $1 a bullet jacketed price.

NOE 379-279-FN is the clone of the 375449. It weighs 279 grains in GC and 283 PB for me. I also have the 378-275-FN. It's slightly lighter at at 273/278. Both shoot well for me w/ the edge going to the 379-279-FN.

OLD Lyman book says 60 grains of old 4831,
I like the load but do not go under it by much.
For your lighter load a faster powder may be needed

I also favor the Lyman 375449 GC (the NOE duplicate does as well) cast bullet for use in my three six bits (M70). I cast them usually out of COWWs + 2% tin and WQ. Size them at .378 and seat a Hornady GC. Lube is NRA 50/50 or 2500+. My "light" load is 36 gr of AA5744 which nets 1860 - 1875 fps with 2 moa accuracy all day long. It also would be a deadly killer on game.

A fun load suggestion is; pick up a box of Hornady .375 RBs, TL in LLA and let thoroughly dry. Load over 4 gr Bullseye (no filler or wad needed) for right at 900 fps. Warning; don't let your wife or kids shoot any of this load or all you'll be doing is loading more of them.........
