There is a video which depicts the forging of a rifle in colonial times, but unfortunately, I can not find the link. If anyone can offer assistance, I would be most greatful. I've asked about this before and received assistance, and I apologize to anyone who has provided assistance in the past. It's a video, and as such, difficult to keep a viable link to, at least in my experience.

Thank you to anyone who is willing to provide assistance.

A question for the metallurgists in the group. Forging steel with a coal forge adds carbon content to the steel as it is forged. Would the same happen with a propane forge? If it does indeed add carbon to metal by forging, would wrought iron be converted into a low level carbon steel?
