...but today was the icing on the cake.

Day 1. Standing in checkout at not so LGS with new mold in hand. Guys behind me, perfect strangers, start conversation, then one says "you want some lead?" Got address, etc.

Day 2. Called agreed on price and date.

Day 3. Acquaintance here at home calls, says he's got some casting stuff to give me since he's selling out and moving to Arizona. Met up next day and he gives me a partial spool of lead wire and a box with mint Lyman 450 lube-sizer, Lyman, Saeco and Hoch molds!!!

Day 4. Go up north 60 miles, get over 200lbs of mostly pure lead foundry ingots and sheet lead!!!

Today. HVAC guys come to service house and shop furnaces. Bring me a bucket of mostly wheelweights!!!

I guess its OK that I never win the Ohio Lottery.

Wait how much is the Ohio Lottery? We talking millions of $$$ vs a great score of reloading and casting stuff? Tough call that one. How many pounds of the HVAC bucket of WW's where zinc or steel? I need to do some calculating.

Fred you are just the luckiest guy I know this week! Great score ! I thought this was going south when you started with "Today the hvac guy"...... never thought he be bringing you gold !! Glad it wasn't a $1k service bill and you have to sell all the great goodies you fell into.
All the best to ya. You give us hope !!

I have to admit of a small amount of envy concerning your windfall. I hope you derive hours of enjoyment from it.

What is that old story about living a charmed life?
Be grateful it happened while you're young enough to enjoy it.

Sorta gives new meaning to "lead in your pants"! LOL

Hey, sometimes good things just happen to good people and it sounds like the stars and planets were aligned for you! Congrats on your good luck . . . and if I were you . . . I'd buy a lottery ticket! :-)

A lady in a town near here bought a ticket and felt so sure of herself, she bought another the same day.
Last night she won $1000 on the first and a million on the second.
So don't put it off if ya feel lucky.
I say that because I don't know what lucky feels like.
I once won a steam iron at a grand opening and it wouldn't heat. The same store cashed a stolen check on my account and because it was bad they put my name on a huge sign claiming I was a dead beat. Nothing in my life has been free and I know many others who say the same, but if I feel strange I wonder if I'm missing an oportunity.

In a few months my old Frau and I will be hitched 50 years, dated her for about 2 years before that, anyway she has reminded me ever since we wed that both she and I hit the main prize jackpot.Robert
