anybody know the dimensions of the Novak cut for 1911 style sight?

This is not what you asked for, but it might help. This material came from an article by Dennis A. Wood titled "Installing Melded Rear Sights" in the April 1995 issue of American Gunsmith magazine. This article delt with installing Bomar and Pachmayr adjustable sights, but the sight depths and location should be the same.
