I just did this with a .379 lee that I needed .382 bullets.
I recut the vent lines so I would debur them at the same time.
I cast two slugs both with the sprue plate open and a 3/8" nut set over the mold cavity. The nut is for driving the bullet/lap round and round with a wrench.
then I recut the vent lines so I would debur them at the same time.
I used 220 Clover paste that I rolled into the bullets between steel plates, wiped off the excess and turned them till resistance was very light.

Mold drops .382(across blocks)-.384 (across parting line).
I size to .382 so they'll be perfect for me.

the 220 made a totally exceptable finsh in the mold, I was prepared to go to 320 or 600 if I didn't like the 220, but the 220 is just fine.

If you go to the http://www.castpics.net/ site, and under Molds/ Mold Lapping, you will find the process I used.

I knew I had seen that someplace else.
