I have perfected casting NOE 37 grain Plain Base bullets.
I powder coat these bullets and I want to use them in subsonic loads in 22 Hornet, 222, and 223 Remington.
It seems that accuracy falls off at about 1400 fps. In the 22 hornet using a load of Dupont Bulk powder (Obsolete, powder is likely 70 years old) I get 1020 fps and incredible accuracy.
Any one have any starting points for the 37 grain NOE PB bullet in 222 or 223?

I am looking to duplicate subsonic 22 long rifle velocities.
Pointers to reloading manuals with subsonic loads would be appreciated.

Start off with your 22 Hornet load.

If you have Bullseye then try 2 gr +/-

Here is a subsonic for you for your 22 cf s:
Prime the case, and hand seat 22 cal pellets in mouth of case.
Very Subsonic plinking at short range
Accurate in my 222 Marlin Sako.

I have used 1.5 grains of 700x in a 223 with a 55 grain PC'ed Bator in a handi. It does not appear to be position sensitive. It just penetrates a 2x4 and stops on the other side. 700X is just a step slower than BE.

Would Trail Boss not fit this application?
