I picked up a Model 41 cheap and I am wanting to mount a scope on it. I am needing a weaver side mount put can not find the number for the mount. I am wanting to put a Weaver model 29S scope on the rifle the scope is 3/4 tube.

I have two of the 41 Targetmasters. Both have the partridge type sights. I wouldn't scope mine but if you want a scope on yours get two of the weaver #16 mounts and a set of rings. If you can't find rings I have a set of 3/4 rings for weaver mounts I might be persuaded to part with. Both of mine are original and according to the Blue book are worth $200 +/- depending on condition. BTW these are collectors guns.

I got around on disassembling the Model 41A today and I looked up the built code on Remington web site and rifle was built in Dec 1935. Production started in Jan 1936. The serial number is 00596 the code on the barrel is XD. The gun is good shape. And the bore shines . I am not going the scope to old girl. I traded for a Savage 120 thats going to have the scope installed on the grooved receiver. Will post pic after I get her cleaned up.
