I have remarkably good luck in receiving excellent renditions of boolit molds from various makers. Even Lee and even Lyman and others too. This time it is Lee. Today I received a copy of Lee's 12 ga vsingle cavity pumpkin ball mold. I cleaned with with dish soap and wet toothbrush plus hot tap water rinse. I preheated on hot plate and lubed with beeswax. I pressure poured with ladel and then dropped a perfectly round shiny soft lead ball. The first 12 were all that way. As luck would NOT have it 13 was a cull. I then tried pressure pouring from the bottom pour spout and again perfect drops with only one more cull when my tally hit 100. I have had a bummer or two out of an embarrassingly growing collection, but I have no foundation to complain. Well, maybe a little; I wish it was designed to cast a bit larger, but it is spot on to what Lee specifies.
