I have a .429 size die that I want to hone out. I am comfortable with going to .430 with no problem, but if that is not enough how much larger can I go before I need to make a new pin. I use TAC 1 and TAC X, Ben's Red and White Label BAC. None require a lube heater.

Not using heat, and if you aren't too hoggish on the pressure wrench, you can get by with .004" over original size. Or at least that's as far as I've taken them before they start to get some lube squishing down past the "I" part of the die. I try to keep it at .002" if I can find a used die that close before honing. Then you can just treat it as you would a new one.

If it leaks around the pin you can make a new pin or buy a gage pin in the needed dia ( they come in .001 graduations) and cut it to length.
