300 Blackout (Subsonic)

https://i.imgur.com/Ox6cMey.pngI'm trying to work up a load that will cycle my 9" pistol, h110 at 9 to 10.5 won't with a 230 gr noe. Decently accurate off hand, some ejected, but won't pick up next. Got to get some 1680 to try.

stevespages 300 ACC Blackout 240 Grain Bullet

2400 From 9.4 grains to 11.3 grains
AA-1680 From 11.2 grains to 13.3 grains
H-110 From 9.6 grains to 11.5 grains
W-296 From 9.3 grains to 11.3 grains

I saw this on a gun forum, I haven't tried it yet
h110. 11.8 gr lee tl 230

Powders that have been tested and tried by others.
Winchester 296 - this is the same powder as H110
IMR, Co IMR 4227
Hodgdon H4227
IMR, Co SR 4759
Accurate Arms 5744
Alliant Reloader 7
IMR, Co IMR 4198
Hodgdon H4198
Alliant 2400 can work for both subs and supers

Powders for subsonic single shot, bolt action
Trail boss- good for lighter grain subs, can work for heavy subs but requires almost a full case and a very compressed load.
Alliant Red Dot - Works well for heavy subs, but very extreme spread for lighter grain subs. Not recommended for lightweight subs.
WW231
Unique
HS6
IMR 4756 Lehigh defense recommends this powder for their bullets for single shot firearms. It is finicky, but once worked up it is very quiet.
Blue Dot Heavier subs 200 gr plus
700X Seems to work well for mid-range subs

Are your running these in an AR or bolt gun? Using a bolt gun opens the door wide on powders that will work and be quieter than AA1680, CFEBLK, 2400, H110, etc.

I have used Red Dot, Unique, American Select, Trail Boss, etc. in my bolt action 300. The quietest rounds are the 110-130 grain with Trail Boss or American Select at around 4-4.5 grains. They are really quiet. That said, I have some 247 Whisper rounds loaded with AA1680 to function the AR and they are significantly louder due to more gas volume and the action noise/gas from the action.

I much prefer to shoot the bolt gun subsonic suppressed.

Was in Cabelas picking up tractor parts and got a box of the S&B SR primers pretty cheap, $24 out the door with our 9.9% taxes. Couldn't bring myself to get a pound of 4198 (they had both brands) or 4227. Pressure seems much higher than the CFE BLK powder (well below 20,000 under same 230gr loads) and they were out of 1680, so I'll look some more later. No hurry.

I've used around 10-11gr of RL-7 with 230-245gr cast.

I just picked up some 1680 and 296 at Sportsmans Warehouse yesterday, they had a lot in stock @ my location.
[no 2400 or BE :(]

I'll try that with 4198.

This is my intention. Quiet accuracy with the option of a little more thump if needed.

Are you talking cast here?

10 grains Hodgdon CFEBLK under an NOE 311-230 runs 1000fps in my 16" carbine and cycles perfectly.

Would love to get my hands on one of those molds in PB, but they've been out-of-stock forever.

Post in the inventory run forum. If five people say they want it he will run it.

Sorry, Grmps, I haven't checked back. The 110-130 grain bullets are a couple that I shoot. The 110s are sierra 30 carbine jacketed hollowpoints. They are similar to the 38 special with exposed lead hollowpoint. The 130s are the MP 311410 cast with 50/50 or range lead with deep hollowpoints. They will open well in tissue subsonic and I have killed a few pigs with them. Recovered from a soft dirt berm, they open all the way to the hollowpoint and don't shear the nose. I have been very happy with that 311410 mold.

Here's your chance to get your hands on them: http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/index.php?cPath=84_520&osCsid=u6fv7l282ohmi48mv1lrgq78h4

Just completed the run and made available yesterday, if you want no lube groove. These will be gone quick.

It was actually the 311-198-SP that I was wanting to get, but I should probably jump on one of these...

Thank you!
