I was looking at Weaver K4...on the Weaver site they list the K4 at $244. but on planetoptics they list what appears to be the same scope for $150.0-0. Same with MidSouth shooters supply,,,their price is about $150.00
Why the big price difference?
thanks

Manufacturers retail suggested price is always higher than what it can be bought for.
I have been hunting with a K4 for many years on a .308 mauser, it has done well for me.
I think that is a lot of scope for $150.

Manufacturers have a set, on paper price. Dealers and warehouses get it at a much lower price. The markup on optics is pretty huge, so most dealers can discount items to wherever in price it takes to get an item sold.

You, as the consumer, can probably get the scope direct from Weaver, but it will at the list price. This is so the manufacturer does't undercut his dealers and stocking dealers, who sell a lot of product.
