I am a varmint hunter most of the time, I do deer and large game as the sesons allow. I do use paper targets to sight in a rifle as needed. It's the hunt that is big thing. Having a critter run across the field and trying to shoot it can be a challenge.

What do you do when the varmint have arms and start shooting back?

shoot first and make it count! They won't have a chance to shoot back.

I would try to get the first shoot in, then duck.

Center of body mass, large caliber, heavy for calber slug. Then let physics act according to the laws of nature.

I usually hold just a tad (technical measurement) low. That way if I don't score a "Center of Mass" hit, I usually send them on a high, E Ticket ride. I've actually taken a prisoner or two that way, as the fall stuns them for a few seconds.[smilie=1:

I think all answers are good, but in the pix he's already, got ya targeted, and that means reaction time, with weapon, don't exist. thats why Id opt with duck, preferably in a hole. kjg

I don't know about you boys, but when I think I might be going into a gunfight, I grab any bus going the other way.
