I'm working on a low recoil plinking load and I chose to start with Lee 358150swc over 10.5 grs Red Dot for no reason. I used Real Win .358 brass and Rem 9-1/2m primers. Too windy today to do it justice; shot 5 into around 2-3" at 40 yds. I'll try again later.

10.5gr of Redot is my go to load in my Rem. 788 .308 with an NOE 190gr 30 Hunter PB boolit.
It cuts sub half MOA groups at 100 yards @ 1325fps.

35, it is a Remington 700 ADL from 1965. The cocking piece & safety were changed later.

Might back the charge of Red Dot off a bit. I use 4.5 gr Bullseye under the 358477 (150 SWC) in my 35 Rem. It is a M91 Argentine rebarreled with a 26" Shilen barrel. That load runs 1050 fps with pretty consistent 2" groups at 50 yards. Accuracy goes south if pushed faster. The GC'd 358156 does better above 1050 fps using Unique. 12 gr runs 1650 fps for very good accuracy of 2" at 100 yards.

I suspect the same charge level of RD as I use of BE at 4.5 - 5.5 gr under your 150 Lee SWC in your very nice looking M700 358 Winchester would do quite well.

If the wind dies down I plan on a lot of brass emptying this weekend with this rifle.

Nice setup ! I like the rifle, scope and rings...looks like a proper hunting rig. Wild hogs and deer will be in grave danger.

Be quite plinking load for the 358win:Fire:

I am looking for hunting strength loads for 250gr gc pills in 30:1 alloy.
Is there an old thread on here that a good reference for hunting loads for 358win?
