Elk is the best meat you can get.
I seen a bunch of them tonight heading toward the private property they spend most of the winter on.

good job J.W.

Congrats on a very successful hunt.
Soon as you get all that processed, it will be Paul Harvey time, as in we need the rest of the story. lol

Elk is the best wild meat I have had .. Too bad we don't have many in NC and the ones we do have are protected

Good eating .. Congrats all the way around

Awsome! One of bucket lists is to bag a nice bull. I'm bored with the 160" plus whitetails I harvest off my property every year. I need to go large!

Congratulations all around!
I'm with Smoke, I've only eaten elk a couple times but it was the best wild meat I've had. We've just reintroduced them in WV but I'll not live long enough to be able to hunt them here.

I like elk better than beef, so in my opinion, it is just the best meat, wild has no say in it. lol

I like beef better than moose, but that is not to say I couldn't live on moose either.

Congrats.

With whole elk in the trucks, those darn cast boolits cheated you out of half of your fun - carrying them out of the leg-breaking timber tangle that they dashed into a pack full at a time.

Nice harvest.
