I've been looking for a Lyman#313361 mould. To go with my FA 32H&R. Would any of the custom mould people duplicate this bullet design for me? And which ones?

Do you mean 313631? Was one on Ebay a couple days ago.

BbS: I can't find pics of either of these lyman#'s in any source on hand..maybe Doug("Floodgate") will see this and help out..But, you might peruse NEI's selection online to see if something there lights up. I had great success with their # 67A in the tighter bored 32/20's (aka 30-20's)..good luck, Onceabull

I have been using that bullet for many years in not only my .32 H&Rs but other .30/.31 cal riles. It is excellent out of my original run SS and out of my 10" Contender. It also is superb in 32-20s. The GC's 105 gr SWC is an excellent choice for the M1 Carbine also. Perhaps a group buy as Lyman no longer makes that mould. If not the GB then a continued search for one will be worth the effort in the end.

onceabull:

It was a transposition for #313631 - see BigBoreShooter's correction above. Cherry number ...361 went with a 25-caliber plain-base spitzer #257361, "Designed by Ed. P. Bernard of Yokohama, Japan for .25-20 S. S. or repeater if loaded as single shot with 4 grains of Unique." This is per the 1958 Forst Edition "Handbook of Cast Bullets", p. 107. It was offered from 1911 through 1953. Weight not listed in my sources. No. 313631 was offered 1987 through 1997 as a .32 handgun 100-gr. SWC with grease groove, crimp groove and gas check. Neither of these bullets show up in the 1973 2nd Edition "Cast Bullet Handbook".

The 311316 is 115 grains, and a lot more often seen than the 313631, if your groove is .312 it will work fine (better). If not, you can lap/beagle it. I've got one casting .316" right now. I like the shape better than the 313361, that's why I passed on the 361 0n ebay.

Never noticed that 316/631 thing before. Have both moulds, the 311316 is still my favorite.
