I am looking for a .678 round ball mould. I am having little luck finding anything on the internet. It appears Lyman has discontinued making their mould any other suggestions?

You could have Jeff Tanner make you one.

Or... Track of the Wolf has a .680 that might work.

They do sell .678 balls, if you don't need many.

If we cannot locate a used one our plan is to buy the .600 and have it machined out to .678. We are doing quite a bit of flintlock musket shooting and are sick of paying $0.50 a ball when I have all the casting equipment and lead on hand.

Look in active group buys....MiHec just ran one, prolly has extras, he makes great molds too. Works great in 12 ga wadcup loads to

RCBS 0.678" mould listed on Buffalo Arms site:

0.662" works well too but generally needs patching to snug fit in shotcup. Donut wads might also do the trick with 0.662" ball.
