I got a sporterized #4 and couldn't stand the looks of it, so I changed a couple of things and it came out to where I can stand to shoot it.

Nice work. I have to wonder how anyone can use a scope with a cheek piece sooooo low and the scope sooooo high.

Nice work; it is a shame that there are so many 'Budda's' out there who get hold of these rifle and go to work without a care as to what the end result looks like.

Hope it shoots well for you.

Jeff; it can be done, my M10 has a Picatinny rail over the action and the scope sits up high. I think it's what you get used to. Shot the red deer several months back with it as is.

It could use a cheek piece to make it easier to cheek up prior to firing a shot.

The 'L' shape flip rear sight had such small apetures that they were impossible to use hence the scope.

I think you really improved that Enfield!

As for high scopes, I've just gotten a Romanian PSL that has a scope sitting way up high and to the left. Has a bit of a raised cheekpiece and I can put the edge my lower jaw just on it. It'll be interesting seeing what that feels like when I get a chance to shoot it.
